Robert says: '' I’ve painted African wild dogs a few times. But not for a long time. I’ve always loved them, their long adolescent legs, there curious nature, devotion to their pack, whenever I see them it almost makes me sad to remember where I’ve come from. The community of my home village which I left and haven’t found anywhere else. These funny clown-like dogs can’t fail to melt your heart, here three is not a crowd, I’ve used three dogs in this piece to represent my partner, my son and myself. The title is not an aggressive meaning but a curiosity for life and to seek out the things that inspire us and if you can do that in a group your winning.''
