Illustrating the apparent juxtaposition of wild life in modern day society, this mighty polar bear looks powerful yet relaxed even in its unusual urban surroundings. Let’s take a closer look at some of the interesting elements hidden in the artwork…
Let’s take a closer look at some of the interesting elements. In the top right hand corner, you will find a disused ‘Cool it’ air conditioning unit. On the window sill, you will see there is a ‘Polar’ make of CD player stood alongside a broken bottle of ‘Ice Breaker’.
You will find a discarded box from ‘Eskimo House Pizza Parlour’ and a bottle of ‘Bearoni beer’ amidst the scattered detritus.
The ‘Unnatural Geographic’ magazine mentioning ‘Where did the arctic go?’ giving us a clue as to why the bear is in the street.
There’s a discarded poster from ‘Ice Cap Productions’ with a whole host of interesting artists including ‘Coldplay’, ‘Snow Patrol’, ‘Arctic Monkeys’ and ‘Cold Weather Report’ amongst others. Can you also spot the ‘cucumber’? (As in ‘cool as a cucumber’).
Not to forget about the batteries on the floor symbolising the South and North Pole. And notice the parking ticket that the polar bear is standing on? He is clearly too cool to care about parking…
The detail in the bear’s fur is absolutely phenomenal. This is an altogether awesome artwork which will be a real statement piece to grace any wall.
