Westover Gallery are delighted to present this touching boxed canvas by Scarlett Raven and Marc Marot, as part of their groundbreaking augmented reality project. Inspired by legendary war poets Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon and Rupert Brooke, The Danger Tree uses augmented reality to expose the true heartbreak of World War One.
Utilising digital stripping techniques, viewers are able to reveal the creative journey beneath the layers of paint revealing the Great War re-imagined.This piece is a reflection on the fact that both sides had the sure conviction that God and the church were behind them. The Lord’s Prayer is used in five different languages to underpin the message that all soldiers shared the same fears and were all terrified of ‘going over the top’.
Danger Tree - Portfolio of 4, available in two formats; canvas or paper. Both signed by the artists and framed.
