Long Dog - Pink | Steve Lovatt

Long Dog, a hand-painted resin sculpture in pink by the popular artist Steve Lovatt.

Inspired by the legendary balloon artist Masayoshi Matsumoto, Steve Lovatt is a self-confessed balloon-twisting nut. The artist and sculptor has experimented in everything from bronze to wood, fibreglass and ceramic porcelain. His latest sculpture collection, composed in resin, is a playful nod to the balloon animals created at children's parties.

"Doing what I do brings happiness to both me and my collectors," he says. "It draws upon a symbol of happiness embedded in our collective psyche from our formative years; themes of children's parties and simple pleasures."
