Rise

A hand-signed and framed limited edition boxed canvas by contemporary figurative artist David Rees entitled Rise Working with oil paint, David Rees layers colour to create form and shadow and develop a narrative. This piece was created after David listened to the Les Mis soundtrack, he says: "I wanted to create a painting which evoked that revolutionary spirit of the musical"
