ODE TO ART COLLECTION

In this pivotal new collection of artworks, artist Kristjana S Williams draws inspiration from the masters of surrealism, Salvador Dali and Dorothea Tanning as well as channeling the tales of Alice in Wonderland, Carroll's transcendent work that has inspired art, literature, politics and culture since its first publication in 1865. Drawing upon many months of personal exploration and research, as well as her work for the V&A museum in London, Kristjana has captured the essence of surrealism through her modern graphic art pieces; the distortion, mutation or sometimes complete transformation of what is known in order to create a fantastical tableau. The familiar are familiar still, but not quite as we expect.
