Westover Gallery are proud to present the fifth instalment of ‘The Danger Tree’ series by Scarlett Raven and Marc Marot. With Scarlett Raven donating a proportion of the sales in association with the Royal British Legion.

All The Years Ahead is a special edition created for the year-long exhibition at the Titanic Museum in Belfast, where the series is due to be featured this year. The edition size is 1912, to commemorate the historic year of Titanic. All The Years Ahead is only available on paper.

This Scarlett Raven paintings utilise a tool designed to take the painting process to a place far beyond the canvas: Augmented Reality (AR). Using interactive apps (Blippar or Artvive) observers can reveal the poignant journey beneath the countless layers of paint.

AR reveals Scarlett’s creative journey beneath: the thought processes, the paint strokes, the inspiration, the effort, the musings, the mistakes. It is a place where digital meets analogue. Where paint collaborates with pixels.

Scarlett Raven is a British painter who attended Central St Martins where she studied fine art. She secured her first solo exhibition in Cork street a year before she graduated. She describes herself as an Augmentist. She paints impressionistically but uses augmented reality to reveal the deeply personal process beneath each painting.
