The story behind the artwork:

Renaissance Rome looking at Architecture engravings, working with the Farnese Palace in Rome, which is built out of multi layers of plates creating the depth and deep sense of colour. Kristjana's approach here is working with depth, doing so by incorporating the plates collected by John Barrington, which have an exceptional depth and clarity. Working with them, creating said depth as well as entering a world of deep, exciting hues was a feast for the mind. The compositional elements include the all knowing Paul Smith Dinosaur and graceful tigers, which are a symbol of female strength and elegance. In addition there can be spotted the sewing machine and references to the music that inspire this incredible man greatly.
