Cosy Chat

This painting shows a man and a woman having a cosy chat, both  happy in each others company having had a cup of tea or coffee in the pub or a cafe and will leave shortly to a life unseen.

This is a mature relationship.  The first flush of youth is gone but has been replaced by a deep understanding.   By talking in this intimate face to face way, we can read subtle expressions and reaffirm our love and understanding of the other.  We can revisit how the other looked when they were younger and see the passage of time, reminding ourselves why we were attracted in the first place.
