The story behind the artwork:

Nature has always been really important to Kristjana. Icelandic nature is really harsh and unforgiving, often described as very stark with lots of blacks, whites and greys. The colourful flora and fauna in other parts of the world serve as a great inspiration to Kristjana and she enjoys playing with colours in her work, as in her eyes, the colours of the nature elements bring a piece to life.
