In a move away from his traditional style, Robert Oxley has returned with an explosive take on his popular collection, Primal Colours.

For the vibrant Mala, the artist took the opportunity to invert the colours playing with the typical palette and tones. 

Playing with the composition, Robert says: “I wanted to change the format of my work and not be confined to the shape and form of the animal’s head. A great way to do this is to fill the whole canvas giving me the opportunity to be explosive and keep the tempo upbeat.”
