Mud Bath, a beautiful hand carved sculpture made from serpentine stone.
Handmade by artists from the Chitungwiza Sculpture Community, Shona sculpture is a modern movement of stone carved sculpture created in Zimbabwe. It gets its name from the 'Shona' tribe of people (actually a mixture of many similar tribes with closely related language and culture) who are the largest in Zimbabwe.
Serpentine Stone – Found in many deposits throughout Zimbabwe its colours vary from black to brown to green, orange and variegated. Hardness level varies from very soft to vary hard. To ensure fine details of the carvings it is easier to use a slightly softer rock.
