A hand-finished canvas by infamous art fraudster turned legitimate artist, John Myatt.

The artist’s Vincent collection is a poignant homage to the legendary Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, Vincent Van Gogh.

The landscape view over the fields – with the church spire just visible – is loosely based on an existing artwork. However, the composition is altered to suggest Vincent at his cool, calm best.

John focused on constructing a landscape which obeys the formal rules of perspective but is energised by colour and vigorous brushwork.
