Alexander Millar explains "This is a print of an original I was commissioned to paint. The client explained how he liked to look into a painting and imagine the life stories of any character therein.
So the title seemed pretty easy to come up with. What I didn't know was that in the UK the West End in many towns and cities became the posher part in the Victorian era as it was upwind of the factories, the smoke and us poor working folk!"
