About Ronnie Wood

Ronnie wood, born 1st June 1947, is an English rock musician best known for being a member of The Rolling Stones since 1975, as well as Faces and Jeff Beck Group. Wood started his artistic journey when his drawing were featured on a BBC television show as a child after winning one of the shows competition. He then went on to train at Ealing Art College which also features notable alumni such as Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend of The Who.

Woods paintings, drawings and prints tend to feature icons of popular culture and have been exhibited across the world. Ronnie also did the artwork for Eric Clapton’s 1988 box set Crossroads. Several of Ronnie Wood’s paintings are displayed at London’s Drury Lane Theatre, including work commissioned by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Art critic Brian Sewell once referred to Ronnie Wood as “an accomplished and respectable artist” and Wood has maintained good relationships with San Francisco Art Exchange, as well as South Bank Show, who have devoted an entire program to his artwork.
