Born in Bradford in 1977, artist Danny Abrahams was a latecomer to the art world. The former musician is a self-taught landscape artist, and it wasn't until the age of 32 that he began painting to fill the void that had been left by his music career.
An instant love affair was born, and Danny spent night after night experimenting with mediums and techniques on the path to find his own style. A natural talent with incredible artistic ability, his creative mind took over, and using vibrant colours he created amazing and magical artwork. The learning curve was fast, and after around two years artist Danny Abrahams was able to quit his job and make a living from his artwork.
A love and fondness of his surroundings, Danny's landscapes are often inspired by the local beauty of his Yorkshire birthplace and the travels during his former career. Add nostalgic elements, and his work often evokes the memories of growing up. Preferring to work with oil on board, his powerful skies capture the mood of the landscape.
"Life is a journey filled with special memories that you never forget. Childhood dreams stay with you forever. Re-kindle your dreams and let them lead you on a journey," says artist Danny Abrahams.
