Using a combination of ceramic modelling, metal work, wood work, painting and sewing, Jayne Smith creates beautiful hand-made mixed media pieces, inspired by her love of wildlife.
History and Background
Jayne has always been a driving force behind the Impossimals over the years, often working with Peter Smith on his latest collection be it design, stories or titles but recently Jayne has started to unfurl her own creative wings in the studio with a stunning range of art available exclusively through the UK’s number one publisher Washington Green and their extensive network of galleries.
Jayne hand makes every element of her artwork. Her skills include ceramic modelling and pattern creation, painting, sewing, felting, woodworking, and metal work skill acquired over the years and added to with Jayne’s continued membership of the Rufford Art Society.
Ideas and Inspirations
Taking inspiration from wildlife and interior design, Jayne combines her love of fabrics, ceramics and patterns to bring a unique look to all her creations. From bespoke wooden sculptures and freestanding fabric creations with her Foreverbunny range to stunning bespoke artwork, her creative range grows by the day.
