John Waterhouse is a British artist, growing up in rural Staffordshire. He has been painting from an early age. John is renowned for his sepia style oil paintings of country scenes. Stunningly evocative, they take the breath away with their detail and beauty. They portray the country as it is, and can be. Dusky tones, grey inclement weather, but often with the sun shining through offering hope. John Waterhouse’s landscape scenes are known for their view of unspoilt serenity, but they never fail to stop you in your tracks. John believes a field has its own character, just as a person does. He takes the time to study, and get to know the areas he paints. This clearly shines through in the finished product.

We’re pleased to offer a small collection of limited edition John Waterhouse prints, here at the Rose Gallery. The artwork is printed onto board, then framed in a gunmetal-finish frame. It’s a bold look, frame totally complementing the art.
