Growing up by the sea in Famagusta, Cyprus, Marina’s early life was shaped by the beauty of the ocean and the trauma of losing her home during the war. Although she never intentionally set out to paint specific subjects, her portfolio naturally evolved to reflect the elements closest to her heart—water, boats, beaches, marinas, wet stones, and rocks—all drawn from the powerful memories of her seaside upbringing.
