Artist Richard Levine must feel like top dog this season. After an award-winning 2018, rising star Richard has launched his exciting debut collection. Newly represented by Westover Gallery, the graphic designer stands out for his exploration of pattern and colour. His bright and bold paintings play with geometric shapes and patterns, turning the usual into something unique.

"The colours and textures of the stripes pass through various stages," explains artist Richard Levine. "I swap, replace and finesse them until I can't push the piece any further. The viewer can focus in to follow the stripes and focus out to appreciate the familiar form."

What better subject for these new pieces than one we're all so familiar with - man's best friend. His first collection at Westover Gallery features playful paintings of pugs and pitbulls seen like never before.
